This depends on many factors. Removal of exesting fan and new installing takes about 1 to 2 hrs. If replacing a ceiling light fixture is a fan and junction box is rated for a fan than it will take just as long as fan removal. If its not rated for a fan or its a complete new location it could take 2 or 4hrs depending on environment.
